October #jammed: Free Grace.
Day 300: No name necessary.
There are people all over the world in place to protect those who cannot defend themselves. Others bring the Good News of Christ to ears that have never heard it before. More go where no one else wants to admit even exists, to feed starving people and restore clean water to drink and build houses to live in. But these people don’t help to boast.
Whether we are called to service in our own neighborhoods and hometowns or across oceans to places few know are out there …we were all born with a mission to love and help and proclaim the Good News …“until every ear has heard.”
It’s important for us to find a way to meet the needs of others who are suffering things we can’t image from our seat in the West of the world.
“We hope to see your faith grow…” As Paul encourages Christians, I imagine His faith grows right along with theirs. There’s something incredible about witnessing that light cut through someone’s darkness. His Light and His Love permeate souls that hadn’t a clue how lost they used to be.
“Expand all the way to the limits God has set for us….”
Oh, that we may live out all that God has planned for us, patiently and obediently striving to fulfill His destiny for us until He calls us home.
Father, Praise You for love and missions. Thank You for the burden to help that You place on every heart. Forgive us for getting caught up in societal pursuits, and help us to focus on the limits you have set for us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
