January #jammed : Grace in Life’s Face
Day 3: Grab onto Grace for Dear Life.
Motherhood is a blessing that beckons the welcome sound of silence. Along the river’s edge at daybreak, I snatch a piece of serenity.
God’s grace is our immersion in His artistry. It has very little to do with us, and everything to do with what He’s done for us. Out of the blackness of night, the first sudden spark of horizon sets a vibrant fire across the morning sky; akin to our heart’s embrace of His Son.
Our reliable Father goes before us to dredge the river before we attempt to sail down it and pushes ship when it’s too heavy and awkward for our small selves to manuver. He sets anchor to the channel markers and lights the beacon so we don’t run aground. He runs ahead to tune the sky to our morning lullaby. He’s kind. He goes out of His way to look out for us. Hang onto Him for dear life. Grip His grace.
It’s automatic to heap the heaviness of life’s work upon us and trudge along like the old tug, isn’t it? It is for me. Even with peace as a backdrop, the sweet solitude of silence sometimes slips to concern about a million things I’m about to worry about.
Father, At Your powerful hand the morning sky explodes into a masterpiece. Praise you for unique brushstrokes of every sunrise. Forgive us for missing it, passing it without notice, and taking it for granted. Bless our hearts in appreciation for every new day full of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I love your message and your poetic style. And these words stopped me in my tracks: “God’s grace is our immersion in His artistry. ” Forgive us for missing your artistry, Lord. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!
Thank you, Karen, for your encouragement. God’s creation surrounds us …it’s crazy to think we can walk through days without noticing Him. Happy Tuesday!
